Technical analysis of the cogeneration plant using gaseous fuels (types of technologies, equipment providers, commercial offers, etc.) was carried out in the paper. The condition of the existing infrastructure (plot of land, buildings, communication technology) and the possibility to use it (principal points of connecting to the existing communication were provided for) were analysed and evaluated. The volume of investments in the planned economic activity were evaluated and financial-economic evaluation of the project was carried out. The assessment of financial-economic feasibility of the project considering the change in natural gas prices, electricity sales opportunities (on the Power Exchange for the buying rate set by the state for high-efficiency cogeneration plants) was developed and the impact of the project on the final price of heat was calculated.
