A feasibility study of the reconstruction of the Southern Boiler House was prepared under the order of AB Šiaulių Energija. The possibility to install biofuel boiler houses of 20 MW, 30 MW and 40 MW in the Southern Boiler House, to assess the impact of these projects on the change in the price of heat was examined. After the analysis, the optimal plan for the reconstruction of the Southern Boiler House by installing a biofuel boiler house of 20 MW was prepared. Investment in a new biomass boiler of 20 MW power was coordinated with the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices, and the application for project funding from the Lithuanian Business Support Agency was prepared and administered.
