Customer: AB Lietuvos Dujos
Years: 2012-2013
The purpose of this work was to prepare a comparative study of changes in demand for separate types of fuel and environmental pollution by separate types of fuel. The study was carried out having evaluated surveys conducted by different institutions in 2008-2012, as well as studies analysing or forecasting, or relating to these projections. The use of different types of fuel, prospects for the use and environmental pollution by separate types of fuel was analysed in the work. The prospect for the use of natural gas sale in the market of Lithuania from 2013 to 2030 by assessing growth and development strategies in the Lithuanian energy sector, in particularly, related to the promotion of the use of alternative energy resources, the strategic energy projects being implemented, current and planned investments in companies or country associated with the promotion of the use of alternative energy sources and their impact on the natural gas market was assessed. The study provides several natural gas consumption scenarios for 2013-2030, which will include the effect of changes in the gas purchase (import) price on volumes of consumption, the impact of gas import and (or) extraction sources, prospects for entering into long-term and short-term contracts in the market considering the specifics of the growth and development in the Lithuanian energy sector, current and planned investments in companies or state investments, approved priority development directions and economic development strategies.
