A significant amount of biodegradable waste is generated during the technological process of UAB Agaras. To make the efficient use of these and other types of waste generated in the manufacturing process a project under which it is planned to construct a biogas plant of 0.8 MW was initiated. Within the scope of services, an application and related documents were drawn up in order to get the support of the European Union Structural Funds under measure VP3-3.4-UM-02-K “The Use of renewable energy resources for power generation”. The investment support of LTL 5.9 million was allocated for the project in 2012. UAB Ekotermija monitors the implementation of the project until its full completion.
